IoT/Wearable
IoT devices such as Smart Lights, Door Locks, Thermostats and Temperature Sensors typically connect to the internet using WiFi, Bluetooth or Zigbee (IEEE 802.15.4). SPI NOR Flash has multiple uses in these applications from storing the firmware for the communications IC, data from sensors, configuration settings, security keys and even biometric data. The high endurance and retention of this type of non-volatile memory combined with small factor packaging, low power operation and ease of system integration provide substantial benefits compared to other memory solutions. BYTe Semiconductors SONOS based devices are available with a wide-voltage range simplifying the design of battery powered devices, and extending the lifetime of the product as the battery voltage decreases.
BYTe Semiconductor provides a complete portfolio of NOR Flash devices allowing customers to choose between low power 1.8V and Wide Voltage ranges, all available in advanced ultra-small packaging, with densities from 512Kb to 2Gb.
